Funeral of the late James Hodgert
Funeral services for the late James Hodgert were held yesterday at the West Main home. The First Presbyterian Church pastor H. W. Lorimer spoke, hymns were sung, and pallbearers J M Roberts G O Morgan J A Stawls F H Wascott J W Donnally and G J Farley guided the casket to Oak Hill cemetery. Hodgert was a respected longtime citizen and his passing saddened many.

William Moore and Noy Ryan appeared before Judge M Archer in Plattsmouth charged with drunkenness and vagrancy. They pled guilty to drunkenness and denied vagrancy, were fined five dollars and costs, and the judge allowed a thirty minute street stroll before they face jail if they linger.

Annual Meeting Deepens Ties at Christian Church
The Christian church held its annual meeting at the Woulman building with business sessions and reports from the church societies. Over 180 dined in the decorated dining room served by the Helpers of the Church. Officers for the coming year were elected including Elders Thomas Wiles W R Bryan and G P Eastwood and deacons Soln Stander L J Wiles Claude May abb OG Studson GC M Manners and P F Rhins doweenesses. Hunters bag two wolves and six jackrabbits near Missouri river
