Yesterday a jail delivery at Nebraska City ended with Frank Stuart and two companions recaptured after freeing themselves by prying a bar from a transom. John Frederick Brodine a Louisville pioneer died at home on Railroad avenue December 22 1929 after a period of illness. Born March 15 1849 near Stockholm Sweden he emigrated to America in 1882 and settled in Louisville with wife Clara Louise Peterson and daughter Alma now Mrs Darwin Vanseoyer. He leaves wife two daughters a foster daughter two grandsons a brother and three sisters. Funeral held at home with Rev Cuthbert Elliott and Rev Elmer Sundstrom. interment River View cemetery.

The rejuvenated volunteer fire department, diminished to three members, held a first meeting at city hall to form a modern organization with 30 members. Officers named include President Frank M.
