Progress on the road to the dock and warehouse along the Missouri River continues with concrete bridge forms in place and concrete pouring begun. Good weather will allow uninterrupted work with heating to prevent freezing, and the county grader has established a grade that will be rock surfaced for all weather access to the dock.

Farm Home Burned Near Murray House Destroyed
A farm residence occupied by Mr and Mrs Ed Noell and family three miles west and south of Murray burned in a late night fire. Die at Council Bluffs James Hessenflow former Cass county mail carrier
James H. Hessenflow died Sunday at 2 p.m. in Council Bluffs where he had lived in recent years. A lifelong resident of the Louisville and Cedar Creek area he worked as a mail carrier on the Cedar Creek route. He leaves two sons Walter and Dwight and a brother Edward Hessenflow of Louisville. His wife died earlier. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Beem-Gradford funeral home in Council Bluffs.
