Omaha Masonic bodies joined about twenty five members at the Nebraska Masonic Home to celebrate Christmas. Accident Near Lookout Point Claims Two Workers
Carl Speck and Bud Hayes, workers on Seminole dam, fell 300 feet from a cliff near Lookout Point while returning from Rawkins. Speck suffered severe leg injuries with possible amputation. Hayes had minor bruises. Snowy conditions and blood loss required urgent care before surgery. Later Rawlins hospital reports offered improved prognosis and plans to amputate avoided.

Stamp stock receipts from Dec 9 to Dec 24 rose 10 percent over the prior year. For Dec 9 to Dec 24 1937 receipts totaled 1173.87, while this year they reached 1299.72. Mail volume was up and about 8000 more 1 cent stamps sold.
