Funeral services for Richard Dean Dew infant son of Mr and Mrs Hershel Dew were held Wednesday at Sattler funeral home. Rev G A Pahl of St Pauls Evangelical Church led the rites with Mrs Ray Herring singing Safe in the Arms of Jesus and Leona Meisinger at the piano. Interment followed at Oak Hill cemetery.

The Plattsmouth Ad club approved forming a local credit bureau with Thomas Thomsen of Nebraska City. The bureau will collect residents’ credit histories, standing, and personal data on master cards for quick reference by members. Fire at Spidell Home Causes Smoke Damage
Firefighters responded Friday evening to the Frank Spidell residence on Marble Street between Sixth and Seventh. A couch fire in the living room caused smoke damage. the family was preparing to leave when the glow was seen in a neighbor's window. A dropped match or cigarette likely started the blaze. The couch was removed and only minor damage occurred.

Death of Mrs Grant Hackenberg at Mynard Home
Mrs Grant Hackenberg 64, longtime Mynard resident, died Thursday night at the family home after a long illness from heart trouble. Daughter of the late Mr and Mrs T Fry, she spent most of her life in the community and was injured in an automobile accident two years ago. She is survived by her husband and one daughter Mrs Phillip Rihn of Union.

Drivers Licenses Bring A Heat Sum
The county treasurer reports as of November 30 that 5 786 licenses were renewed at Ticeach totaling 4 539 50. 784 new licenses at 1 each brought 784. Three duplicates at 25 cents added 75 cents. Total receipts 5 124 25 of which 4 795 60 went to the state and 828 65 to Cass county. County funds include 328 65 in a five cent per license fee. No staff fees were charged for issuing licenses.

Auto Wreck Near Alvo Injures Students
Friday night a crash near Alvo damaged the cars of Orest Cook of Alvo and Jack Ross of Weeping Water.
