Farmers Shuck Sixty Acres Of Corn At Terryberry Farm
A group of fifty five men with eighteen teams gathered Friday at Mrs. Lucille Terryberry’s farm to shuck sixty acres of corn. The work finished in five hours leaving the corn gathered and cribbed. Lunch was served by Mrs. Terryberry and several helpers. The event showcased neighborly cooperation and productive community effort.

Hunt Wins Damages in Cass County Trial
In the case Frank Hunt versus Cass County Nebraska a jury returned a verdict for Hunt for 136.23 dollars after a Tuesday trial claiming damage from a narrow road and ditch when a county vehicle backed into it. The justice court judgment of 200 dollars was appealed by the county.

Suit for $50,000 Damages Filed Over Car Crash
Charles Howard sues Edith Tunnell and Charles Tunnell for personal injuries and $50,000 after a February 9 1938 accident on highway No 75 near Plattsmouth. Howard alleges he was a guest in the Tunnell car driven north at 12 30 am when the crash on Seventh and Pearl caused partial blindness and serious bone fractures.

Elmwood Resident Dies After Tire Change
Lyman W. Cromwell of Elmwood died of a heart attack at a Lincoln filling station while changing a flat tire. His wife was with him. a physician linked the strain from tire changing to his heart condition. Cromwell, once from University Place, lived in the Lincoln area for 60 years and in Elmwood the last three.
