The Plattsmouth board of education adjourned to fill vacancies from resignations in the last ten days. Lois E. Meade of Murray and Blanche E. Hughes of Ceresco were chosen as new teachers. Meade is a Plattsmouth High School 1935 graduate who studied at the University of Nebraska and taught in Cass County. Hughes is a University of Nebraska graduate with prior teaching in Lancaster and Saunders counties. Both are highly recommended and will receive assignments for the upcoming school year.

Rt. Rev. Monsignor George Agius pastor of St. John's church returns Friday after a few weeks in Colorado. He traveled by auto and enjoyed a cottage at Manitou for rest and relaxation.
