Anniversary of War Hero Edward Hippie Jr
On July 28 marks the third anniversary of Edward Hippie Jr death. A teacher in Co. T of the Lhuth infantry he served in the Cham pane offensive and was killed by a machine gun bullet. His body lay in French soil until arrival in Hoboken for homeward passage. Funeral services are to be held Sunday afternoon in Cass county under the local American Legion post.
