Mrs. McGuire to Leave City for Nebraska Home
Mrs. Charles McGuire, longtime resident, is leaving this week for McLean Nebraska to live with her daughter Mrs. William Becker and family. Her health has declined and after Mr. McGuire’s recent death she plans to reside near her sons Charles and Con who also live there. Friends express regret at her departure after many years in the city.

Young Men Stage a Battle on Sixth Street
A courtroom crowd heard testimony over a late Saturday fight on South Sixth Street between Archie Recek and Arthur Weiss. Judge Charles Graves found Recek guilty of disturbing the peace and fined him ten dollars plus costs, paid and released. County Attorney W G Kieck then filed a further complaint charging Recek with assault with intent to commit great bodily harm.

Funeral for Mrs. Charles Ricketts Held at Sattler
The funeral services for Mrs. Charles Ricketts were conducted Sunday afternoon at Sattler funeral home with Rev. C. O. Troy of the First Methodist church delivering comfort. Frank A. Cloidt led two family-requested hymns, and Mrs. O. C. Hudson provided accompaniment before the body was interred at Oak Hill cemetery.

Pickup Wanted Man Arrested Near Murrey
Sheriff Homer Sylvester arrested Vern Williams a Burt county farm hand near Murrey on a Burt county store robbery warrant. Williams was turned over to Sheriff Pitts and transported to Blair to face charges.

Farm Home Destroyed in Sudden Fire West of Mynard
The Joseph Safarik family narrowly escaped when their farm home west of Mynard burned to ashes in a rapid blaze at 1 am. The large residence, long occupied by the A. S. Will family, was engulfed, with the family fleeing in their night clothes as the building and all contents were destroyed.

The American Legion post of Plattsmouth announces an Easter egg hunt for all city and Plattsmouth trade area children. Over 1,000 eggs will be colored and hidden. Children must meet at the courthouse lawn at 2 PM Saturday, with a limit of two eggs per child. Races on the athletic field follow, with prizes for winners.
