Plano Golf Classic draws 130 players at Plano Municipal
The Eighth Annual Plano Golf Classic organized by the Plano Rotary Club and funded by 20 local firms drew over 130 golfers Monday at Plano Municipal Golf Course. Fred Scherr claimed low gross with 74, John Bouchard 75, Richard Parker net 62 on a 20 handicap, Kenneth Nall 63 on 24, Steve Taylor won the no-handicap division with 72, Mike Vivian second also 72 via Callaway tiebreaker.

Teen couple nabbed on armed robbery warrants
A teenage girl, 18, and her 17 year old male companion were arrested Monday afternoon on armed robbery warrants from San Antonio. They gave no resistance as they were taken into custody near their apartment and a department store respectively. Police continue to investigate three burglaries and report multiple thefts and accidents citywide.
