Summer Playground Program At PARD Opens In Plano
The Plano Parks and Recreation Department launches its Summer Playground Program from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at multiple elementary sites including Christie, Davis, Jackson, Sigler, Barron, Forman, and Douglass. Activities include arts and crafts, athletics, games, rhythms, and nature study. Open gyms at Williams and Vines High Schools run 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Contact 423 4795 for details.

Police Investigate Burglaries and Vehicle Accidents
Police report burglaries at Williams High School with no forced entry and missing shorts and jerseys. An aggravated assault on June 10 left a 32-year-old with serious injuries after a gambling dispute. Thirty-nine calls for aid included two motor vehicle burglaries, one residential burglary, and one case of criminal mischief. Multiple collisions on Tuesday and Wednesday injured three seriously and four with minor injuries. A wreck on US 75 injured several in a seven-vehicle chain including two drivers and three passengers. An ambulance collision occurred at 14th and Jupiter while en route to a call.
