Accident claims life of Garland worker at Raceway site
A 22 year old Garland man Virgil Eugene Gibbs was killed at Rabbit Run Motocross Raceway when crushed between two earth moving machines as he tried to load them into a truck. The incident occurred at 9 37 p m and he died at Plano General Hospital at 10 15 p m with his brother and the equipment owner nearby.

Coit Road to Close for Drainage Project
Traffic will close Coit Road from Parker Road to FM 544 for about three months starting Monday to install a drainage system at the Parker and Coit Road corner. An open channel will run along Coit Road and a box culvert will be built under it. A detour via Parker Road to Preston Road or a route via Independence Parkway and Park Boulevard will be provided.

Police Investigate Multiple Thefts In Plano
Plano police logged several burglaries and thefts on Tuesday including three residential burglaries two thefts and a bicycle theft plus 60 assistance calls. Four people were arrested including a Dallas warrant suspect a supervision case a Plano warrant suspect and another Plano warrant subject. A three year old boy sustained minor injuries when his tricycle was hit by a car on Williamsburg at 615 p.m.
