Treatment Plant Work Completed In City Expansion

The city accepted its oldest capital improvements project on Monday night, finishing work from the 1966 bond election that funded the wastewater treatment plant expansion.

Final rites set today for Hartline mayor of Renner

Funeral services for 39 year old Ronald N. Hartline, mayor of Renner, are set for 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Renner. Hartline was killed in Bonham over a land dispute with a Bonham resident who used a shotgun. the suspect is under arrest. Survived by wife Fay two sons Ronald Lynn and Rodney Luallen Hartline three daughters Laneca Renae Lavona and Lagayla Hartline and his parents L.N. and wife of Renner. Services conducted by Rev. B C Housewright Rev R Y Buckley and Rev Troy Corzine with interment at Ridgeview Memorial Park in McKinney.

Collin County Approves Eight Routine Agenda Items

The Collin County Commissioners Court approved eight routine items in a Monday meeting. Dissent came from Commissioner Bailey Dickerson on declaring office partitions from the old McKinney Post Office surplus for a Precinct 2 work camp.

Service Station Robbery and City Crime Summary

A lone bandit robbed the Fisca Service Station at 1925 Avenue K Sunday at 7 38 p.m. using a small calibre chrome revolver. Police pursue a six foot black male in his early 20s. The weekend also saw nine motor vehicle burglaries ten residential burglaries three thefts and three cases of criminal mischief. Eight people were arrested including juveniles for public intoxication and curfew violations and adults on warrants or for false information. Two injuries were reported in several vehicle crashes around Garland, Richardson, McKinney and Dallas, with multiple collisions noted on US 75 and local streets. Vehicle crashes involved at least six different vehicles and resulted in hospital visits for two drivers.

Vines High School bands present a Christmas concert at 7 30 p m Tuesday in the school auditorium Admission is free The symphonic and concert bands perform Christmas tunes including Sleigh Ride and Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson

Fire department handles two small weekend fires in Plano

Plano Fire Dept. extinguished two minor blazes during the weekend. A stove fire at a home on FM 544 near Willowhend Polo Club caused minor damage, and a living room fire at 193 Ashwood also caused minor damage. The department logged 16 ambulance pickups, two false alarms, and three other services in four days.
