Plano Senior High School students train for cosmetology with a two year program. Two girls study three hours daily in the lab then take a state exam for licensure. Instructor Jean Phillips teaches anatomy physiology shampoo and set, salon management, sanitation, chemistry, scalp care and treatments.
Plano Independent School District trustees will meet at 7 30 p m in the Administration Building to study future debt service requirements based on enrollment growth and construction projections through May 1981. They will approve final payment to Plano Construction Co for Senior High site work and discuss change order nine.
Williams High School choral students present The Sounds of Christmas in the auditorium at 1717 17th St. at 7 30 p m The 52 voice Concert Choir performs O Come O Come Emmanuel Oh Christmas Star Winter Wonderland and From Starry Skies Thou Comest with Kathy Berg and Wayne Wroblski as soloists The Select Girls Choir and Pop Group feature multiple holiday numbers The concert is free with Liz Wright and Mrs Judy Owens as accompanists.
In Plano, November saw 128 single family home permits, up 23 percent from October. The value of homes built reached 3 089 150, with year to date totals showing 1 239 permits valued at 29 544 582 versus 1 608 permits valued at 35 497 858 in 1974.
Two items on the Monday agenda include final plat approval for Willowbrook East Addition a 15.8 acre subdivision at Park Blvd and Custer Rd and a replat of Block A Sherrye Plaza Addition into three retail lots for a Kwik Kar Wash at Sherrye Dr and 14th St. The sites are bounded by Bunker Hill Estates Willowbrook Park Blvd and Custer Rd.
The Haggard Middle School concert and symphonic bands plan a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. in the school cafetorium. Ten students earned spots in the Junior High All-Region Band, including Barbara Goodman and Jan Murphy. The Symphonic Band will perform The Navy Hymn and a medley with Yesterday and Noel Francais. The Concert Band selections include Winchester March and Let It Snow among others.
Two multi car crashes were reported to Plano police late this week. A five car collision occurred at 5 40 p m at and south of the intersection of K Ave and Parker Rd. Vehicles involved include a 1972 Ford driven by Gary Michael Sykora of 1313 Mossville a 1975 Ford driven by Cecil Lenard Fletcher of 1459 Ridgewood a 1975 Chevrolet driven by Scott Lee Smithson of 1607 15th and a 1972 Ford driven by James Russell Smith of Denton. A second collision at 8 10 a m involved a 1969 Oldsmobile driven by Barbara Gayle Gaddis 1031 Avenue E a 1971 Chevrolet driven by Melvin Leon Bozeman 3100 Rockbrook and a 1971 Oldsmobile driven by Ira Elizabeth Zeller of Dallas.
