Man Robbed by Two Hippie Types at Laundry
Two men described as hippie types beat 63 year old Victor Turnage at his coin laundry on Avenue K early today. They stole about $20 from his wallet, left him in a closet with head lacerations, and fled on foot. Turnage, 1719 14th St., managed the washateria and gave a description of the suspects as in their mid 20s, about 160 pounds and five feet seven inches.

Beer-Wine Applications Open in Plano Friday
Plano prepares for beer and wine sales as the 60 day moratorium ends. Police Level Two Charges On Tarrant
Ronny Tarrant, 33, remained jailed in Collin County on $50,000 for aggravated assault on a police officer and $10,000 for criminal mischief after firing at an officer and damaging a patrol car during a siege at an east Plano apartment. He barricaded inside his estranged wife’s home and was captured after police forced entry. tear gas and scratches were treated at Plano General Hospital with no serious injuries reported.

Lubbock Skies Should Be Clear For Saturday
