Major land donation to UT Dallas from Plano group
Nearly 500 acres in Collin County, largely inside Plano, plus the Carlier Center facilities, are being donated by the Excellence in Education Foundation to UT Dallas via the UT System regents. The land will fund an endowment for UTD and Callier operations, with UT System retaining some sale or development rights. The transfer ceremony is set for 4 p.m. Monday at the Cecil H. Green Center on campus.

The City Council will consider five zoning cases from the Planning and Zoning Commission at 7 30 p m in the municipal building. The replat and site plan for Block 1 Lot 1 Pitman Corners Shopping Center include a savings and loan on 11 5 acres at W 15th St and Custer Rd and a Skaggs Albertson store planned for the southwest corner. Hunt Properties will develop the site in Planned Development Retail.
