The American Legion will run the Danville Fourth of July events starting at 12 39 p m with a county wide parade of Legion posts and floats. Ex Governor Ralston will speak at City Park and at 7 39 p m a large sham battle is staged with $500 in ammunition flares and fireworks.

Obituary of Anna Elizabeth Bowman Bowman
Anna Elizabeth Bowman daughter of Samuel and Polly Bowman was born in Morgan County Indiana March 20 1850. She died June 22 1921 at age 62 years 3 months and 2 days. She married William Quinn February 8 1885 and had two children Virgil Quinn Indianapolis and Carrie Louis of the home neighborhood. She was one of eight children with two sisters surviving Mary Sellers Indianapolis and Kate Hobson Mooresville. A devout Christian quiet and kind she bore illness with patience. A fall on March 26 ended her days. she prepared for burial and expressed readiness to rest with Jesus. She leaves a husband a son a daughter two sisters and many friends who mourn with hope.
