Hendricks County sent 46 students to Indiana University this year as the university reported total enrollment above 4,200, a substantial rise over 25 years. Graduating class exceeded 500 with May 24 to June 7 commencement events including an all-university exposition and a soldier dead memorial pageant.

Funeral of Allen Douglas Held This Afternoon
Allen Douglas died at his home on East Main Street after a year long illness. He would have turned 72 on July 31. Funeral services were held at 2 o clock at the Methodist church with Rev. J A Gardner officiating, burial at Maple Hill. Survived by his widow Rebecca two children Mrs Currie Brown and Harry Douglass and four grandchildren.
