The club plans an auto trip to Lebanon for the first annual convention of the Guernsey Calf Clubs and will hold a county fair at Plainfield on August 13 showing imported calves and hosting a dairy discussion by a top official. City vehicle owners receive blanks from the secretary of state with the new abstract of title law. A questionnaire sworn before a notary serves as proof of ownership for a title certificate, costing 50 cents, and an aluminum container with a face plate costs 50 cents to hold the registration. The receipt card from license plates doubles as the registration certificate, with duplicates issued at no cost if lost. Total fee $1.00. A $5 to $100 fine awaits those driving without the container certificate within 90 days.

Alonzo Burris Dies at 68 After Illness
Alonzo Burris age 68 died at his Clayton home Sunday morning from paralysis and pneumonia. Funeral services were led by Rev. O. L. Jones of Patricksburg at Belleville M. E. Church Tuesday morning, with burial in Maple Hill cemetery. Survived by son Lewis of this place daughter Mrs Will Owens of near Danville and sister Mrs Calvin Little of Clayton.

Mrs. Earl Hunt Dies After Illness in Greenfield
Mrs. Earl Hunt died Friday morning in Greenfield after a few days of illness from dropsy and pneumonia. She had gone to assist her ailing mother who died recently. Survived by husband and three young children. The family home is on North School Street. Mr. Hunt runs a vulcanizing business on Main Street.

Two Sisters Die In Mooresville Train Crash
Hazel Stevens eighteen and her sister Mrs Jennie Colee twenty five were struck by a freight train at the Washington street crossing Mooresville on their way to Taggart Bakery. Witness reported they walked with arms linked not hearing the whistle. Stevens died at the scene while Colee died en route to Indianapolis hospital. Colee leaves a four year old child.

Mr and Mrs David Thomas celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary on Wednesday. They were married near Winona Ohio in a Friends ceremony fifty years ago during a double wedding.
