Mr and Mrs Edward T B Perine now Mixa Nanette Mapes return to Jersey City after a honeymoon in Brooklyn. The Earl of Leven writes from Roehampton England to Andrew D. Mellick Jr thanking him for the tribute in The Story of an Old Farm or Life in New Jersey in the Eighteenth Century. It recalls Captain William Leslie of the 17th Foot wounded at Princeton January 3 1777 and his death at Pluckamin the next day.
A vocal and instrumental concert will be held next Thursday at 8 PM in the Dunellen M E Church. A forty-voice chorus from Dunellen and New Market will sing and Miss Nelson, Miss Imy perform piano duets, with Miss Louise Apgar presenting recitations. Bishop Vincent will preside at the New Jersey Conference in New Brunswick beginning March 16. The meetings will continue for about a week at the Methodist Church. He formerly lived in Plainfield and is well known to county Methodists.
