Irving S. Robeson of Oak Hill defeats Walter Travis to reach the final of the eighth Annual Spring golf tournament. Robeson wins 2 up after a rapid, tense match that featured a dramatic ninth hole halved English-style and a decisive finish at the eighteenth where Robeson failed to halve, allowing Phillips to tie before Robeson clinched. Phillips advances 2 and 1 over Scofield, Jr. in the other semifinal.
