Moore County Park Association Forms to Preserve Public Beauty
The Moore County Park Association formed to establish reservations along public highways and preserve beauty spots for public benefit. Led by Henry A. Page as president and Leonard Tufts as secretary, with charter members including Prof. J. A. McLeod and Warren Manning, the group cites 1911 legislation enabling gifts of land or funds for free parks. The aim is to broaden right of way to protect landscapes, plants, and wildlife near schools, enhancing Moore County’s standing through thoughtful preservation.

Pinehurst Village Club Fete Delights Old And Young
A lively Pinehurst fete drew crowds Tuesday afternoon in the open air at Pine Grove. Attractions included rides, bowling, bean bags, a Maypole dance, games, and raffles. Mr Prestley Maclaughlin offered color sketches for fifty cents, while a “dago monk and grisley” impersonation drew attention. A coordinating committee led by Mrs J D C Rumsey organized the event, with profits noted at the gate as the page ends.
