Tin whistle events share the vast midsummer meet stage
Saturday’s Tin Whistle events featured four men’s ties at seventy-eight with seven handicaps, a women’s tie at one up between Miss Kate Van Ostrand and Mrs. M G Rae, plus a point system approaching contest and a putting contest. Prizes were provided by Fownes Wyckoff Ross Priest and Creamer.

Cosmopolitan Throng Attends Informal Carolina Masquerade
Saturday evening at The Carolina drew a few hundred guests in an informal masquerade. Prizes went to Prestley Maclaughlin as a Chinese mandarin and Kate Van Ostrand as Folly. Others dressed as summer girl French maids Yama Yama girls and more. Judges included Hart Buckley Robeson Jillson. General dancing and refreshments followed.

A. J. Nichols, handicapped by twenty, won the weekly trap shooting handicap with a score five targets above what the scratch man could reach. D. I. Leahy scored ninety six to finish second and E. H. Pinney scored ninety three to take third.
