Unique golf shot on roof hole becomes local legend
D Foot of Rye New York achieves a six on the eleventh hole after a ball caroms from a shed to a cabin roof and into a mole trap. He climbs the roof with a caddy, plays the ball from the slick shingles, and finishes on the putting green. Meanwhile Walter J Travis sails for England to defend the amateur titles at Sandwich in late May and early June.
