Carolina Opens to Record First Day Guests at Pinehurst

The Carolina hotel welcomed seventy guests on opening day the largest inaugural count in history. John D Rockefeller and Mrs Rockefeller arrive for a two week stay. Rockefeller, noted financier, plans golf during his visit. The housewarming hop launches Pinehurst’s social season as guests flock in and staff maintain smooth operations.

First Day Guests At The Winter House
