Dark Horse Wins St Valentine Golf Tourney Final

The tenth annual St Valentine golf tournament at Pinehurst saw Becker of Woodland upset favorites Henry J. Topping and F. A. Martin in a dramatic final. Becker won the final after a tough match run, with earlier rounds featuring Becker’s steady edging of W. W. Swords and a lengthy showdown against Henry C. Fownes. The day ended with Becker clinching 41 in the twentieth and the title.
