Jones and Mackinney lead Midwinter Tennis Championship
In the fourth annual Midwinter Championship the men’s singles and doubles crown the event’s climax. J D E Jones of Rhode Island won singles and with H A Mackinney claimed doubles, defeating Balfe and Cowing 8-6 7-5 6-2 in the final. Mixed doubles saw Mackinney and Mrs Hager victorious. Miss Cohen won women’s singles.
