Maintenance Tour to Demonstrate Road Upkeep Standards
President Leonard Tufts leads a demonstration tour for the American Highway Association and United States Office of Public Roads from Richmond to Atlanta. The group includes Virginia and North Carolina state officials, and Georgia and South Carolina collaborators. They plan county by county road maintenance checks, funded by the association, with engineers supervising and aim to extend supervision along the Washington to Atlanta route to create broadly maintained, economical roadbeds.
