In the eleventh annual St Valentine Golf Tournament final for the President's trophy young Philip V. Carter of Nassau battles Gardiner W. White of Flushing in a near equal match watched by about 300. Carter leads early but White rallies on windy holes with key drives on the twelfth and an eventual winning par on the eighteenth as Carter clinches one up.
