Brilliant climax to Pinehurst winter tennis tournament
The second annual Midwinter Tournament at Pinehurst crowns Raymond D. Little as the standout, winning every event he entered. He defeats Richard Bishop in a five set men singles, then partners Elsie Little to take mixed doubles and, with Bishop, wins men's doubles over Hall and Goldstein. Mrs. Marshall McLean claims women's singles after a tight final with Edna Wildey. Wildey and Miss Little win a dramatic women's doubles. The mixed doubles final features James and Chapman defeating Durant and McLean. The event showcases top amateurs across the United States and Canada, with strong performances by Ms Little, Wildey, and McLean, among others.
