James T. Twitty of Buffalo arrives with his famed pack to join Pinehurst hounds for a week of chasing foxes. The thirty to forty dog pack from Warrentown stock farm will provide lively music for the field. Twitty invites a large group, including many women, to participate in the hunts.
Carolina bellmen plan an afternoon of varied sport later in the season with a practice program. Preliminary events include 200 yard dashes won by Norris, Austin, Warren and Courtney in eleven seconds and a race between De Roen and Gilman won in twelve seconds. Prizes will come from a fund raised for the event.
