Midseasons Gayeties Cotillion Delights The Carolina
A lively midseason cotillion at The Carolina featured guests from hotels and cottages, a Sousa music program, and novelty dances. Highlights included a Grand March led by E. S. Parmalee and Ethel Check, a Magician's Delight with items hidden in a tall hat, and a Will you be Mine? two step with red hearts and blue mittens. The event showcased elaborate favors, rapid games like the potato race, and a clock striking midnight as Home Waltz closed. Parish, social set from Boston, Worcester, Indianapolis, New York, and Philadelphia attended, with Mrs. Leonard Tufts and Miss Priscilla Beall among organizers.
