Memorial meeting honors McConnell at Carthage
A large Sandhill gathering in Carthage Court House remembered James R. McConnell killed in France. Leaders from Aberdeen to Pinehurst praised his service as the community calls on all to enlist and rally under shared flags to drive the enemy back to the Rhine. A hospital at Eureka Farm Life School was named in his memory.
