Death of Masley Resident W D Waldrop
W D Waldrop, an aged Masley resident, died Saturday night at his home. He leaves a wife and several children, plus two brothers A B Waldrop of Greenville and RB Waldrop of Pickens, two sisters, and many friends. Raised near Cleveland in Greenville county, he was a Wesleyan Methodist church member. Funeral services were held at Easley Mill church Sunday afternoon.

Clinton Burgess sustained very serious injuries when a county road scraper tipped and overturned near Mount Carmel church on Tuesday October 30. He was aided by Butler Ferguson E P Keith J K Lathem and others, and Dr Ponder arrived to treat him before he was taken home along the Oolenoy river. The reins and mules escaped unharmed.

Death of Ella Hendricks Saddens Ambler Community
The Ambler Sunday school was canceled on November 4 after the death of Ella Brown Hendricks wife of Bunk Hendricks and youngest daughter of Bud and Mrs. Brown. Her funeral at Griffin church drew a large crowd, she was about nineteen, leaving a husband a week-old daughter and many relatives. Several local residents were noted visiting relatives and friends in the area.
