Pickens School Notes On Examinations And Graduates
The Pickens school year ended with perfect exam results in the high school and strong graduation events. Rev Edwin R Mason of Greenville delivered a noted sermon in the Methodist church to the class, assisted by Rev K T Hodges. Miss Ada Craig Miss Ruby Baker and Miss Isadora Williams leave the staff. Williams goes to nursing training at Battle Creek Michigan. The commencement exercises featured a class history poem music and a forceful address by Gen M J Bonham of Anderson. Certificates were awarded for essays and UDC/YWCA prize work.
