Coral Island and surrounding towns welcomed business visitors and travelers from Chicago, Seattle, Juneau, and port towns. Reports include ship passages aboard the America, City of Seattle, Spokane, Farragut, and other vessels, plus local social events and courtesy letters.
The Petersburg town council, led by Mayor Otness, approves bills totaling 319.45 and seeks a 1500 loan to cover current expenses. They authorize a 1250 warrant to Western Electric, urge road and waterway funding, study water main extension, and seek legal guidance on houses of ill repute outside city limits. A mass Fourth of July meeting is ordered, and a shooting gallery permit is sent to public works for review.
Notice states that Petersburg assessment rolls for real and personal property are turned over to Town Clerk Jacob Johnson the Town Assessor. Also advertised are for sale items including a sixteen horsepower N S gas engine with shaft and propeller and a fumed oak dining table with inquiries directed to John Jensen Bank of Petersburg Dr Bulkley.
