Pendleton Loan Association Holds Annual Meeting
The Pendleton Loan Association held its annual meeting with many stockholders present. Directors elected for two years were George P. Longnecker Dr F L Stone and R O Golder each with 257 votes. Three directors for three years were J B Taylor C F Brown and D G Barrett each with 257 votes. The association pays 7 percent dividend on running stock and paid borrowers about 35000 while distributing about 42338 83 to stockholders on mature stock and withdrawals. Shares are 100 each and run six years.

Music Study Club Observes The Three Nevins Program

Woman Falls Down Court House Steps Wounding Witness
Miss Mildred Carey of Alexandria visiting in Anderson as a witness in the John Boyles trial fell down the circular stairway in the court house. She missed a footing and slid the full length of the stairs colliding with Asa McKinley who was also toppled and left partially paralyzed and bruised. Carey was bruised but stayed to testify.

Dedication Of New Parsonage At Local Church
The Christian Church will dedicate a newly built parsonage next Sunday with C W Caudle of Indianapolis leading morning and evening services. Aubrey H Moore will give the afternoon address, a basket dinner will be served, and the public may inspect the building in the afternoon. The project cost between 6000 and 8000 dollars, funded by church members and guided by L V Mays D G Barrett and J B Taylor.

John Springer Dies at Brewersville Home in Jennings County
John Springer died Monday night at his daughter Mrs Maggie Hale’s home in Brewersville Jennings County. Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Springport this Thursday afternoon. His wife died three weeks earlier and was mother to Herbert Veach.
