Obituary of John Q Reid Pioneer Pendleton Citizen
John Q Reid age 76 died Monday night at his S Broadway home after months of illness. Born March 18 1847 he married Evangeline Craven in 1872 and had two children Mrs R H Perring of Grinnell IA and H C Reid of Union City. He was a longtime member of Pendleton Lodge No 88 I C O F and Sicilian Lodge No 234 K of P. Funeral Thursday at 3 PM at his home Rev F C S Wicks officiating burial in East Grovelawn Cemetery.

The Loyal Workers Class of Pendleton Christian church and Roosevelt Community Club present The Old School in Hickory Hollow at Pendleton High School Auditorium on August 15 at eight. Wilkinson man killed by train at Pendleton crossing
Basil Wisehart aged 38 brick layer at the Indiana Reformatory was killed instantly at the Isaac Jones crossing in Pendleton when struck by a Big Four passenger train. Two coworkers escaped. Vocational news notes Busy Bee Club will meet Monday at 2 p m in the high school building. The I V H Club met there and completed plans to attend the Delaware County Camp at Muncie in August 1924. About fifteen Pendleton girls will attend. Indiana 4-H Clubs report 4758 members with 3768 girls across 50 counties, 4424 projects, aiming for 4000 girls in 1923. Boys and Girls club work are through Purdue University extension service and show record enrollment growth statewide.
