Portland to be featured in widespread Northwest advertising
Frank J Carpenter, famed correspondent, will syndicate a Portland Oregon story with Chamber of Commerce data and illustrations. The move aims to attract attention to the growing Northwest. Also noted is BE W Johnson planning a large Nampa brewery with Idaho capitalists proposing a $75,000 to $100,000 plant, contingent on civic malt supply. The Canadian tariff commission in Toronto hears appeals mainly seeking duty reductions on American textiles.
