Washington November 21 special to East Oregonian Charles Bm Wolverton Supreme judge of Oregon was appointed by President Roosevelt to be federal judge of the district of Oregon in place of the deceased Charles B Bellinger. The selection surprised Oregon circles as Judge Bean was widely favored. Wolverton a Linn county native 63 years old has been known for integrity and independence within party lines. Halley is expected to be named successor on the state supreme bench.
