Aged Pioneer Abraham Miller Dies in Pilot Rock
Pilot Rock Ore May 31 Special Abraham Miller a well known resident and Umatilla county pioneer was found dead this morning. He suffered a week of ill health but likely died from heart failure due to age and frailty. Born April 30 1838 in Indiana he came to Oregon as a youth and filed a Pendleton claim in 1862 later farming and freighting at Pilot Rock.
