Florida Springs Notice the Largest Spring in the State

Sheep drown near Casper in heavy rain flood loss
A Casper Wyoming correspondent reports about 1800 sheep bedded in a narrow draw were flooded by rainwater. About eight hundred head drowned while the rest were saved. The owner, Robert Crosswaite, sent a 13,000 pound wool clip to a Chicago house with 10 cents per pound advance. Further losses were limited by frost and prior shorn conditions.

Cow lands on owner after locomotive collision
A cow was hurled several feet into the air upon contact with a Great Northern locomotive and landed on its 70-year-old owner, causing injuries deemed fatal.

Convict Richard Fritsch Escapes From Penitentiary
Richard Fritsch a one year and a half man at the penitentiary escaped yesterday afternoon about 6 30 while working as a trusted cleaner near the superintendent's cottage just outside the fence. Guards were not posted due to his trusted status and officials believe he remains in the city as searches continue. He was sentenced to a year and a half for obtaining money by false pretenses and had half a year left to serve. He was committed from Jackson County.
