Charles A. Smith of East Liverpool Ohio says the Colubiana county common pleas suit against him for 244000 will not trouble him. He notes he owes only for pumping the mine three months before turning it over. He recalls an offered settlement of about 6000 and a rejected counter of 3100, and states he has invested about 40000 personally.
The Blue Mountain American of Sumpter reports that the suit by Messrs English against Charles A. Smith of New Liverpool over a one year bond relates only to prior conduct and does not affect Golconda, its property, or officers.
