Baptist church entertainment draws large crowd and raises debt funds
A Baptist church program drew excellent attendance and proved profitable for the church debt, with Maylene Fraker delivering a well received vocal performance and receiving multiple encores. Separately a Finnish laborer, Sam Hoagland, was killed when struck by a moving freight train near Unity, Oregon, with an inquest later absolving the crew. The region reports a booming Blue Mountain area, flourishing harvests, and an upcoming visit by J Le Weight, grand clerk of Women Woodcraft, touring the Northwest.
