Executive O Committee finalizes awards for Pendleton's Great Exhibition of Paney Fowls Ducks Geese and Pigeons. Excursion rates will draw many spectators as other towns send entries and visitors to the event.
The special rules to the Pendleton poultry show being granted to them. Mt. & N. company will wring many spectators from the towns in the west end of the county, as well as that from the east end. Many of those from the west end will be here to purchase stock and ons.
Management announces almost 160 special primes for exhibitors at the Pendleton Poultry Show. Prizes include annual subscriptions to western and midwestern journals and range from 50 cents to $2. Awards are listed for various breeds with first and second prizes from Northwest and Western Poultry journals and World.
In Fayette, Democratic National Committee member Taggart was wounded when a shell from W Norton struck his right eye and face, shoulder, and chest amid a quail hunt. Doctors offered assurances of possible eye saved, but Taggart faced blindness risk. Norton fired at a quail bevy. incident ends the trip’s schedule and leaves Norton grieving.

Worthington counsel for Clinger Neurmann argued to complete rebuttal to exonerate Hermann from connection with the Oregon land frauds and place case before jury next Thursday afternoon. prosecutor said more than one day needed for affirmative evidence to prove Hermann co operated with Mars Jones and others in the frauds. Judge Wolverton ruled Hermann’s Washington trial evidence inadmissible to prove knowledge or tipping off Franklin Mays.
A wreck on the Red road near Riverside injures several aboard the Chicago esrem train. Among the injured are three trainmen who may die, authorities said today as rescue efforts continued.

The elder Pettik alerted Gratiot County authorities via telegram, prompting custody on forgery charges.
New York January 22 Judge Hourch of the United States circuit court today quashed a second indictment charging Aurnatie Felis with manipulation of the fines at the Mercantile National Bank. Prosecutor Wise said he will present another indictment after the errand.
