Fine Auto Smash On Saturday Night Continues
A warning light was placed on a sand and gravel pile when ONeil’s car hit the obstruction after a blinding glare from a Mumm car. He dodged but collided with a Winton, causing extensive damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported though the Winton’s frame and radiator were badly damaged and the Ford sustained minor harm. Authorities blame the unsafe street pile and lack of warning lights. Several other drivers say close calls occurred from the same cause.
