Mrs Caroline Timm of Charter Oak has completed 500 rag rugs and continues to spend many hours at her craft. The active octogenarian recalls selling butter to grocers for 2 cents a pound and even selling a pig for 2 cents a pound, a big sum in those days.

This national drive, the third Get Out The Vote campaign, is sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America and the Freedoms Foundation Inc. It urges eligible citizens to vote for what is good for America. The Scouts promote civic participation though they cannot vote themselves. Be sure and vote.
