City electric demo uses bucket lift during light bulb swap
Downtown shoppers witnessed an unscheduled aerial demonstration Saturday morning as the city electric department operated a fiberglass bucket lift named Pelican. Maynard De Vries, the operator, controlled the unit from the bucket, shielding himself from shocks, while the department, not the owner, used the equipment for a lighting replacement.
