Six Year Old Struck by Car on Peoria Street
Randy Van Maanen six year old son of Mr and Mrs Kenneth Van Maanen was struck by a southbound car driven by his teacher Judith Ann De Jong near his home on Peoria Street. He suffered a fractured left leg and scalp and head lacerations and was taken to St Joseph Hospital Ottumwa after treatment at Pella Community Hospital. He is in satisfactory condition and leg in traction for now.
