Economist Francis Kutish notes high cattle numbers and rising slaughter threaten until prices normalize, while hogs and dairy show steady demand and favorable prices ahead. Sheep outlook remains modest, with slow recovery from recent lows and no return to 1942 highs unless conditions worsen.
